Andrew Graham

Portfolio Manager, Head of Asia

Legg Mason Global Asset Management

Andrew joined Martin Currie in May 2010 and Heads our Asia team. He is Co-Manager of the Martin Currie Asia Pacific and Asia Long-Term Unconstrained strategies alongside the Martin Currie Asia Unconstrained Trust. He joined us from Sofaer Global Research, bringing with him over 20 years' experience of managing Asia-Pacific equities. At Sofaer, where he was a partner, Andrew managed the company's Japan absolute return fund and co-managed its Pacific-region absolute return fund. Prior to this he spent five years as senior vice president at Putnam Investments, where he co-managed its International Capital Opportunities Fund, focusing particularly on the Asia-Pacific region. Earlier in his career Andrew held portfolio management roles at both Scottish Widows Investment Partnership and Kemper Investment Management. He has a BA (Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Strathclyde.

Rick Stathers

Senior ESG analyst, Climate Specialist

Aviva Investors

Rick is responsible for the development and implementation of the Climate Transition European Equity Strategy, works on updating Aviva's Climate Change Strategy and facilitates it's application at Aviva Investors. Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Rick was the Global Director of CDP's Investor Initiatives programme and prior to that, was Head of Responsible Investment at Schroder's for 16 years launching Schroder's Global Climate Change fund in 2006. Rick holds a BSc Hons in Environmental Biology and an MSc from Imperial college in Environmental Technology.

 

Steve Freedman

Senior Product Specialist

Pictet Asset Management

Stephen Freedman joined Pictet Asset Management in 2019 as Senior Product Specialist in the Thematic Equities team.
Before joining Pictet, Stephen was at UBS Wealth Management, where he most recently served as head of Sustainable Investing Solutions for the Americas, based in New York. Prior to that he served in various Investment Strategy roles, including head of Thematic Investing Strategy and head of Tactical Asset Allocation. He started his career with UBS in Zurich in 1998 as an economist and public policy analyst. Since 2019, he has been teaching environmental finance at New York University.
Stephen holds a PhD and a Master in economics from the University of St. Gallen. He is a CFA charterholder and earned the FRM designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
